Technical Lecture Series: Lecture 2 by Shri Amitabha Ghosal sir the second lecture of this series held on 19/02/2020 we had with us one of our eminent alumni who is presently the Vice-president and chief advisor to board at STUP Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Shri Amitabha Ghoshal. It was a wonderful lecture about the history and structural facts of our very known Howrah Bridge. He also recalled the contribution of Dr. R N Mukherjee, who was one the chief engineer of Howrah Bridge project and one of the most eminent alumni of our Institute. Other alumni members, Prabir Neogi and Shyamaprasad Dutta had also joined on this day and graced the event. We, the students are grateful to have heard from a person like him. Also, the annual magazine of the Department of Civil Engineering, "The Civil Engineers" was launched on this occassion. We congratulate everyone for making it a success.
